Jonas came to play! New York City was hit with around 30ish inches of snow. After being bundled up inside, with delicious hot chocolate, Thai food and avocados, I finally made my way outside on Sunday afternoon.
With my hiking shoes on, I was able to march into mounds of snow and mushy water alike. Besides the ice and massive shoveling still needed in the streets, the city was a winter wonderland. So much beauty, so much snow, and so many hats and big furry coats!
I grabbed a cup of coffee first, and just in time since they were going to close early (thank goodness I made it!), and made my way down the streets and finally to the East River. There were so many kids and adults sledding down the now covered stairs, down into bushes, and by the bridge. There was dogs, big retrievers to tiny chihuahua mixes, off leashes, finally running off the energy that they had accumulated.
Blizzard of 2016, thank you for your beauty!
