Death by Chocolate cake.
Where do I begin? Apparently, Donald Trump mentioned eating a perfect chocolate cake during an interview? Anyway, that happened and then I guess chocolate cake was on everyones mind…a perfect chocolate cake.
When I say a chocolate cake, I mean a chocolate chocolate cake with all the chocolate works. Therefore, Death by Chocolate cake was created.
It starts with a moist, not so sweet two layer cake with chocolate buttercream frosting in between the two layers, then a chocolate ganache sauce dripping off the cake.
Happy Dreams! Or maybe you won’t be sleeping due to the chocolate overdose…

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 Cups of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (I used a combination of Hershey’s Cocoa Powder and some of the usual baking cocoa powder)
- 3 1/2 teaspoons of Bourbon Vanilla Extract (you can also use basic vanilla extract)
- 3-8 Cups of Confederations Sugar

- 8 ounces of Cream Cheese
- 1/5 – 1/2 Cup of Milk

Directions:
- Wait until butter and cream cheese are at room temperature and soft.
- Combine butter and cream cheese until a smooth mixture.
- Add vanilla extract.
- Add cocoa powder.
- Add sugar, 1 cup at a time depending on the consistency you want as well as the sweetness.
- You can also add milk as needed to get to the consistency you want, and to balance the sweetness.
- You will be finished once you have a consistency that is thick and you can spread. You can refrigerate to make it more thicker.
- Spread it on baked goods or eat as is 😉
